VA Benefits by Disability Rating
If you just received your first VA compensation rating, or if you just received an increase, this is the tool that will explain your new benefits. Different levels of disability unlock different compensation and programs. Pick your combined rating below. We'll show you every federal benefit you already qualify for, plus a preview of what you gain at the next tier. Compensation amounts update automatically when VA publishes the annual COLA. Benefits vary by state too. See our state veterans benefits guide for what your state offers.
How benefits stack as your rating goes up
Benefits from lower ratings carry forward. A 70% veteran gets every benefit listed under 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 50%, 60%, and 70%. Tap any tier to see what you gain at that step.
Educational reference only. Eligibility for each benefit may have additional criteria beyond rating (discharge status, income, dependents, combat status, etc.). Always verify with the official VA source linked in each card, or with an accredited VSO representative. Monthly compensation figures come from our VA COLA history file and update each year. For current amounts with dependents, use our combined rating calculator.
